Backstory to come with the finished article, but leaning towards an interim buy because of delays in the Jaguar M program.  Royal Navy Corsair S.1...Hasegawa 1/48 A-7E

Not sure yet how it will end up armed...leaning towards either a pair of Sea Eagles or a single WE.177.

Back to work tomorrow for 5 days so no more progress until next Wednesday most likely.  Plenty of time to think on it.

So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Elegant, EDSG/Sky suits the Corsair (as well as the Crusader) very well.

Not the first FAA Corsair I've seen, but they're so often really nice. I'll be watching this!
Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition!

EDSG looks great on about everything!

Those Argies better be on the lookout!

Making a little progress this week.  I was tempted to make this an exact duplicate of the 1/72 AMT RN Corsair I did years ago in 700A RNAS markings, but I really love the 890 RNAS markings that I have in the Sea Vixen sheet from Xtradecal, so it became an operational deployed Corsair.  The "E" on the tail indicates she is deployed about HMS Queen Elizabeth (CVA01) in the early 80s.

I think I'll retain the backstory from the earlier build since it works for this one too.

For reference, the much older, smaller build.

So I got that going for me...which is nice....

It does, I really quite like my Argentine version, though it has a higher demarcation line of course 😉

I do need to start the Crusader in the stash, but I want it to be a 2 seater

Just realized going through my 2021 builds that I never posted a finished shot of this one.  Overall not a bad kit.

This is delicious   ;D..ive got the Italeri A7E in 48th and if theres a more simple but affective paint job for this plane i dont know what it is ..love this
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .
