That's your Miles M52, isn't it?

Looks lovely.

Oops! Yeah, I forgot that small but salient point.

Miles M.52 at 1/72 scale culled from my meagre stock

A meagre stock is all you need when you can make to order.

That's the plan, minimal stock and just run off whatever last sold. Hasn't quite run smoothly yet as I had a face and then printer malfunction but hopefully I'll find a solid groove where I can support the existing stuff and add a couple of new things every month

Horrible weather last week meant a bit more time on the digital bench

A first stab at the Armstrong Whitworth AW.171 has been made

More progress on the AW.171 - most of the major bits are there. Bit of finessing needed then organising the print parts

"Where's the fuel gauge?" "Fuel gauge!? This thing has two massive propulsion engines, ten lift engines and precious little internal volume. No need for a fuel gauge, just turn an egg timer over when you start the engines and make sure you've landed before it runs out. Soft boiled  mind you to allow for a safety margin."

Still pottering away on the Miles M.52 - doing a little bit here and there while prints are either cleaning or curing so it tends to just be 5 minutes at a time. All just about there and we're into filling and sanding

I have tools, paint and glue again! Hallelujah and all that

M.52 got assembled

Was in good enough shape for a test flight

It even got some decals flung haphazardly at it

In the rosy afterglow of actual model making I started two more (Avro 698 and Vickers Swallow) at 1/144

Which are both now in first coats of primer

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

LOVE that M52, specially the Schlieren pic.

Thanks, I was idly dabbling with image editing and did another

I was pottering around tidying and shutting up the workshop (taking a month off) and in an idle moment rather than throw away a first draft (flying surfaces too thin so I thickened them up for draft 2) 1/72 Z.122 nuclear ramjet version of Blue Steel I superglued it together and threw some primer at it

Yes, same one. Did you get one already?

Yes, you sent me a test print a while back.  Very nice too, I was very impressed with it.  Not done much but gave it a good sanding.  I'd have to dig out the Vulcan parent/launch ship first anyway afore I do much more with it.
