The real plane was a mock up in 1940. Don(t you find a spitfire MK1 look?

Tophe

beautiful
It looks like a Dewoitine 520, and 540 is just after 520, is the 520 the basis for conversion?

The DOFLUG 3802 was the swiss version of the MS 540 but was quite different

PR19_Kit

A very 'French' looking aeroplane, it couldn't be any other nationality really.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

I agree, but why the author writes Morane Saulnier in the title?
Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

Tophe

Derivatives of the Dewoitine 520 were:
Dewoitine D-521, 523, 524, 550, 551, 552, 553, 554
Midi M-520T
Sud-Est SE-582
But this was in RW, in the whif universe many more are possible ;D

Because it is a Morane Saulnier and not a Dewoitine !

The MS 540 is the grandson of "MS406" and the the last evolution of 406 family.
Never built in France but in swiss as DOFLUG 3802 (modified version)

here picture of the mock up and work by "waroff"

Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition!

Tophe

Thanks!
Yes, the shape of the fin looks like Morane-Saulnier 406 and not Dewoitine 520... <_<

Whatever.

Tophe

I have been inspired by this MS-540 and imagined related Mustangs, see my drawings at https://www.whatifmodellers.com/index.php?topic=4461.2670
Thanks! ;)

NARSES2

I really do like that and you've done a neat job with the camouflage  Lots of the French projects from that era are fascinating and a fair few made it as far as prototype or even limited flying status. Just far to little, far to late  :-\

Yup, I can see what you mean
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
