What P number are you giving it Kit?

It won't have one Alastair.

Because Hawker had naff all to do with it, and all the engineering was done by the RAE guys at Farnborough, it was P-less.

I did wonder as I have one of the donor kits on its way to me though depending on your back story I may have an alternative aircraft, in fact thinking about it a naval version might be a good idea as a follow on to the land based test aircraft.  ;D

Somewhat bizarrely a local shortage of cocktail sticks is preventing progress on the PP Hunter.  :banghead:

As I ALWAYS paint the blasted wheels when they're impaled on a toothpick, without any I'm stumped, and I'm darned if I can find the 'bulk stock' that I just KNOW is in those house somewhere. Not one of the local shops have any either, which is just crazy!

A couple of weeks to go to Telford yet though..............

That's plain daft Kit  :o

Lucky I've still got a few tubs of them, plus I tend to use each one multiple times, so I should have enough to see me out
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Toothpicks are so good because you can trim the tapered ends to JUST the right length so they jam nicely in the holes in the wheels.

Anything else needs lots of preparation beforehand.

bit of sprue and a pencil sharpener ?
or an old paint brush handle suitably whittled

take off and nuke the site form orbit, nope, time for the real thing, CAM and gridfire, call special circumstances.

I've used bamboo skewers.  Trim the pointy end down to fit, and off you go

I tried some, but they all splintered and wouldn't trim accurately enough for the Hunter's wheels. :(

You do realise that with the amount of time spend on here discussing the problem you could of whittled down something larger by now  ;)
