Even, I did snap the undercarriage by accident, but a clean break and some super glue sorted it out.

The resin is quite resilient.

Some more recent progress.

The fin is now on and the airbrakes have been rescribed, using Novo Lightning F6 ones as templates.  The white piece at the front is the IFR probe fairing.  A 1958 Lightning brochure showed one fitted, so P8 would likely have got it too.  I've gone for this due to a lack of spare underwing ones - I can cast the former, the latter is a tad more difficult.



And with the wings dry fitted in place.  These need priming and the flaps and ailerons scribed in.

Current progress?  Not a lot, but it's not far off.

Woohoo!  Finally the control surfaces are scribed and I can get the wings on.  Well, once I've sorted out the twist in the port one.



Another view.  The printed piece is a scrap view of a Lightning F6 wing glue to some plastic card and with the control surfaces removed.  A handy tool for rescribing.  Along with a set of Lightning airbrakes, that's all you really need.


Not that you can see it, but the tail bumper has been added underneath and you should be able to see the canopy has had the glazing enlarged.
