Only need the fuselage, and PM's plastic is good to work with.

It feels weird not being able to attend this year.

I guess for your 545?  The PM kit is still a dog, but enjoy!!

The Wooksta!

I had a look at a Trumpyboss one a week or so back and, albeit without checking it against the Hygate plans, looks to be about right.  As long as the general shape is there and the plastic can withstand heavy sanding, we're gravy.

On reflection, I may need a pair - Type 545 Production (Swallow F2) and Type 554 two seat trainer.

Hopefully things can return to normal next year for our overseas friends and traders ?
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Did my packing this morning and came to a decision.

I won't be bringing any kits for the display this year (I was only bringing 2 anyway).  A few reasons, mostly connected one way or another with my current health conditions and what I'm supposed to both do and not do.  :-\

More than happy to bore anyone whose silly enough to ask with the reasons over the weekend, especially after a couple of glasses of red

Sorry about that, see you at Telford.

Yes I can imagine it being relatively easy to get to a very basic 545-ish shape by adding Swift wings/tailplanes/fin/rudder to an F-100.  The devil is of course in the detail.....

Looking forward to the results.

545 has a different wing entirely, more crescent shaped.  And I have a Maintrack one that may have an accident with some moulding rubber...

Awww, I was looking forward to seeing the McDonnell All Wing thing.

I've done the opposite and ALL my lockdown models are packed in The Barge (my Volvo 850 wagon...) en route to Telford now.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

I'll bring it to one of the shows where I don't need to be away for 5 days Kit. I'll explain over the weekend.

I thought Colin Freightdog did them, but could be wrong.

The Wooksta!

I'll quiz him when I see him.  Thinking of turning the SR187 into a strike aircraft.  Lose the rockets and replace their fuel with yer standard jet fuel and it could have some decent range.
