The last touch of craziness may be: instead of using the skis as support undercarriage, they would be like antennae above the fuselage sides, while two squares may stabilize the egg part on the ground if necessary.

The Hughes 538 model is finished (according to me, rather bad modeller sorry):

There is no propeller nor rotor: the driving force is mental, focused powerfully for VTOL (then trans-sonic flight) with the antennae on the roof.
