I'm pretty sure there's at least one Aerospace Engineer here - maybe more.
But yeah, the lack of photos is an issue, I agree... ;D I assumed you still had them.

Squadron appears to not be making extra aircraft-canopies these days - does anyone know of anyone else doing them?  1/72 scale, naturally.

Falcon, who actually made the Squadron ones anyway.

But they tend to be sold in sets rather than singly.

Thanks, I'll give them a try.  :)

I've been stuck in PSR - not my favourite portion of any build, however inevitable.  :)  To be honest, I'm still there, but the end is in sight.  Having daubed on today's layer of putty, I thought I'd go ahead and put on at least a partial undercoat of yellow, since that's going to be the colour of the undersides anyway.  It looks really awful, so I thought I'd share.  :D

One of the ideas I'm toying with is putting four 20mm cannons in the nose - sort of a latter-day Whirlwind.  I think there's room in the nose for the ammo drums.

Well, I destroyed the nose cone.   :banghead:  I was trying to drill holes for the cannon - I wanted 4 x 20mm a la Whirlwind - and I'd forgotten how much of it was putty .... <le sigh>

New plan - graft on the nose from the Bf-110 that was the engine donor.  The nose will now be much ... bigger, heavier, like a German sausage compared to a banger.  Still - onward!  :)

More lightning woes.  :banghead:

But the 110 nose will be a good look I reckon!

Doesn't look too bad, except, maybe, for the overhang (underhang?) in front of the nose wheel bay.

Nothing that a fuzzy bunny file and some PSR wouldn't put right.  ;D ;)

PSR is finally done.  Now it's just the pilot, cockpit interior, and correcting all the little things that crop up.  :)

Thanks!  :)

I do take my sweet time with my builds, because - well, several reasons.  I'm lazy, and see no urgency to complete a build other than I've got another one waiting; but I also see the building process as the 'fun' of a kit.  Once it's built and collecting cobwebs, it's 'fun' is over, mostly, other than reminiscing about the "idea-to-cobweb" process.

Also, I've been doing this hobby for a few years now, and display space is becoming an issue, as is floor space for more display cabinets!  :)
