What if the French were the main airframe provider to the Domican airforce?

Heres an ex French Airforce  Dassault MD450 Ouragan in service with the Dominican Air force in 1969, Just after it had been delivered.

the Kits is the old Heller one, the decals are from an old miroscale T-33 sheet that I got from the IPMS decal bank a year ot two ago.

The Dominican's tenure with French a/c was just a FAD !

Looking good, Martin ! Always liked the Ouragon, with an almost straight wing ! Did you just finish this kit ? Nice job on the paint, very colourful !

Cheers !

I bought it about 3 years ago 2nd hand, the cockpit had been started. It had been sitting 75% compleat on the hanger queen shelf in the loft for at leat 18 months.
It was going to be a real french Airforce bird, but the kit decals were to far gone to use, I only noticed it after id done the paint job, so went digging throu by decal stash..and u have just seen the result... And the last decal went on about an hour before i posted the photo.
I always hope for the best.

She's had an intersting life !

And as soon as you mentioned crap French decals, I couldn't help but think how good she'd look gloss sea blue with the wings folded up, with Aeronavale roundels !

Nice one!
Always liked the Ouragon and the Matchbox Mystere IV.
A selection of Ouragon, Mystere IV and Super Mystere in good quality mouldings in 1/48th wouldn't come amiss.

Must photograph (ha, ha, ha!!!) my F-16C-DOM specially modified. Dominican AF, in SEAsia colours, 1/48th.....from the DRUG WARS, 21st Century.

Very nice Martin.  Like the others, I've got a bit of a soft spot for 50s/60s French stuff

Like it Martin, you might have given me an idea for my Mystere IV in the stash

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
