The OA-45 build has tempted me and now im thinking of doing my Tigershark in desert camo, kinda like the VA-72 A-7s from Desert Storm

A little mini-update to mark the start of the build, here's the Tigershark's cockpit, currently drenched in flory wash. Really is a mini[/shadow] update for me as i usually work in 48th!

Where I'm at right now with the Tigershark, buttoned up the fuselage and added the single gun. A few gaps but nothing that can't be fixed by some good ol' PSR!

While I'm at it what do you guys think of the idea of the desert camo i mentioned earlier? Would probably be in service in Desert Storm or Iraqi Freedom.

I like the idea of doing something other than standard grey.
When Finland was buying Hornets, a darker shade of grey was actually preferred for local conditions. They went for the standard grey, as used in USA, to save a bit.

Interesting, the idea I've got (using colours i have) is RAF desert pink and brown, as something that was applied in the field, although I'm not sure the marking option you guys chose would go so well with these colours so i might need to change that.

Regarding the desert camo idea, which scheme would look best with those colours in your opinions as i think the white tail with large squadron logo might be a little too flashy for an aircraft with field-applied camo?

Also, opinions on these larger control surfaces, as suggested by diego?

Pepsi Concorde

Refuelling probe with your medium rare Tigershark sir? ;)

Also decreased size of control surface extensions.

More surface area and more control authority is surely good if you want to carry a bigger load or use it from a carrier. Will it be equipped for carrier operations?

Refueling probe installations on some F-5 types look more elegant to me. Canadian, Brazilian.

Yeah, as mentioned earlier it will be epquipped for both land based and carrier based operations.

Here she is in her (as of yet) unpainted glory. I've finally decided on painting the jet in standard 2 tone grey plus an extra tone on parts of the wings and fuselage similar to another Marines jet. Hasegawa weapons set is arriving soon and i have some plans for some LGB fun.

They do look good in RAF Desert Pink
