Don't go overboard on the cockpit details as you can't see much when the canopy is fitted and painted.
I used a different landing gear set up from the RW on the sister model.

Big flying boats are always interesting. I am curious to see your developments.
Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

Thanks for the info Dave.
Looks like some internal reinforcement is in order.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Thanks for the feedback and pictures everyone.

Scratching up some frames and flooring- those miniguns gotta sit on something!

Good work Dave.

Are you going to enlarge the windows?

Should I?  The round windows are actually slightly larger than the 4 square windows used on the AC-119 for the 7.62 mini-guns.  I am not sure big open windows are the best for a seaplane.  The larger, low, rectangles on the AC-119 are for the 20mm miniguns.

You can try adding extra plating around the windows.

Is there any internal structure in these other than the cockpit?  Mine will be an amphibian so i'll need space inside to build wheel housings.

Rather than externally mounted like the US-2?

McColm

I used the C-130 landing gear on the Mach2 Martin SeaMaster and a pair of MH-53 sponsors on the Martin Mariner.
You could go down the Be-200 route.

Love it ! Flying boats are my favourite, and something this unique is just icing on the cake !

I suppose they are going to be shooting at a target the aircraft is circling, not at attacking fighters so they don't need to be scanning the sky for targets.

I'm using SAC white metal Catalina legs so i'll essentially copy that installation.

NOT invasion stripes.  Trying some colors on my test mule S-2.

And I think she needs a bit of extra oomph.

Darts should do it, maybe Pythons if more grunt is needed.  ;)
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Kit

What about a pair of Rolls-Royce Tynes or Nenes?
