I was going to sit this one out but couldn't resist.
I shall be arming a Hino Contessa 1300 Coupe.
It's a 1/32 kit which was a prize at a Ballarat show.  Body detail's not bad but it's lacking on the inside and like a lot ofJapanese car kits is engineered for batteries and a motor.
Contessas were assembled in Israel from '63 to '68 so that gives me some ideas for a back story.
Kit will now tells his connection with Hino cars... ;)

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

I will?  :-\

I'm not sure I've ever SEEN a Hino car, a few of their trucks, yes, but no cars.

That one looks like a smaller Tatra, presumably it's rear engined, is it?
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Is it just me, or is there a faint trace of VW Karman Ghia in the Contessa's ancestry?

Does it come with the bride and groom figures?   ;D
In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.

Renault.  Hino built Renault stuff under licence. The Contessa powertrain was developed from the 4CV.
There is a wikipedia page here.

I have posted this same answer previously but it disappeared.  Cheques in the post Chris...

A rearward facing front passenger seat?

That brings back loads of memories, but I expect your passenger will have some socking great gun to look after rather than loads of instruments strapped onto the back seat.  ;D

I figured a rearward facing seat would make it easier for the passenger to standup through the hole in the roof and operate the machine-gun.
Here scale reference riot squad officer demonstrates the principle.

Mrs z went out on the piss thisarvo (book club) so I got in some solid modelling time.

I used it to start armouring the Gun Car.

The armour plate is of a suitable thickness so as to stop small-arms rounds.  The car bodywork has been lined with concrete to provide a similar level of protection.

While building this I was pondering a user.
I was going to make it Hezbollah.  But then I heard on the radio that IRL they are better equipped than the Lebanese armed forces so I dropped that idea.
I am now thinking either the Judean People's Front or the People's Front of Judea.
