Freightdog862

Brilliant display gents, nice to see few Freightdog builds (with a couple fresh out of the paint shop thanks to Gondor), and great to see Mike's picture on the stand.

Yes, Mike was there in spirit, we mentioned him many times in our chats on the stand.

All thanks to the wonders of modern technology. Hope you get the problem sorted kit and that it's not raining too hard there.

The bank sorted things this morning, thank goodness. It's HAMMERING down here at the mo, I got soaked going to the bank!

Good pics.  Thanks for sharing.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Lets hope the show is on again next year.
I heard that The chairman of the organising commitee stood down at the end of the show. And Im unaware if there is any one able/willing to take on the role or any of the other roles that are currently vacant for the show commitee. This year it was one guy doing five jobs. and its fair to say its taken its toll on him.

Unfortunately we are going to see/hear more about that as time goes by Martin, and in all sorts of hobby areas. Unfortunately we are starting to see generations who are digital/virtual rather than real/in the flesh. Way of the world I'm afraid  :-\

There is also the difficulty of finding not only anyone willing to do the job, but someone who has organisational skills as well as living reasonably local to the venue and is good at networking as well as haveing the time. All the above rules me out.

Thanks for sharing the pictures - looks like a great show.

Attempts to recruit members to an organising committee can be very frustrating!

I had a chat with Geoff on Monday after breakfast and he looked a lot happier. They've got 4 or 5 people to take over what he was doing. Let's hope it works out for the best.

Thanks for the pics.

Looks like another great display.
