Oh yeah, that's SUPERB!

And Tophe's twinned version looks great too.  ;D

Would that be a 'four-fer'?  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Thanks both. A couple of rounds of psr and a shot of primer later and we are here:

Which looks pretty much like it's meant to fit together. So quite happy about that. Closer inspection shows a few more rounds of psr will be required in a few places though especially around the wing leading edges and roots.

PSR is not the most pleasant part but: keep faith, the result is worth these steps

The usual suspects, then. ;)

Well, damn. Managed to ruin the canopy. It fell off whilst I was spraying primer - so got paint on the inside of it, then when I tried to clean it off with white spirit... crack. I am quite gutted as yesterday I was marvelling at how clear the canopy was.

I am going to try hitting up the UK distributer to purchase a replacement but this isnt really the sort of scenario where they are obliged to offer one I guess.

Still, perhaps an opportunity to try to make a vacuum/plunge mould copy. Also it looks like I'm making progress on getting the new wing parts looking reasonable.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Now I'm not saying that this build is cursed - but it turns out that I managed to bin the little rubber washer, that hobbyboss use for props, whilst tidying my build space up. Fortunately it seems that plastic cotton bud tubes are the right inner diameter, but a bit small on the outside. So I have managed to get something to work, albeit slightly loose fitting.

Grrrr  :banghead:

Re the canopy disaster. I have a couple of Falcon vac-form P-38 canopies if they are of any use to you ? G & a J I think ? I'd need to dig them out and check.
