1 x Kinetic Models 1/48 Grumman EA-6B Prowler (KI-K48022)
1 x Trumpeter Models 1/35 AT-T Artillery Prime Mover (TR 09501)

Plus parts that were missing from a Czech made resin figures set.

The missing parts & their escorts arrived today!

Like its stablemate, the Intruder, the Prowler always surprises me with how big it is. They always look so small in photo's. :o

From AJ Aviation (ex-TAHS):

  • AZ Model AZ7667 Hispano HA-1112M-1L Buchon
  • Kopro KPM0146 LET Z-37TM

Both a bit out of my usual build sphere, both as real world builds.  That said the Z-37TM is a bit of a puzzle, I can find no reference to any being operated by the Czech Air Force (which is the scheme it'll be finished in) - so has a whif been sneakily slipped onto the market?

EDIT: just re-read the instructions and yes, the East German and Czech Air Force options are whifs.  How many times did I miss that??

A lot of decals arrived today from eBay and Nice Mr Hannant.  Rekindling a love of 1/72 after doing almost all 1/48 for the past few years so I grabbed up some stuff at good prices for various projects.

1/72 Print Scale German F-104
1/48 Hi-Decal Line Mig-29 UB.  Bought solely to get decals for a Ghost Of Kiev build...if anyone is looking for some Eastern Bloc decals let me know.  I wont use the others
Xtradecal 1/72 Nimrod White & Grey.  Bought for the 203 Sqn markings for my Sea Guardian
Xtradecal 1/72 TA-7C Corsair II.  Cheap source of USN markings
Xtradecal 1/72 EE Lightning F.1/2.
Iliad Design 1/48 T-38C Heritage Schemes-Plans for a RW build but also a good source for Whiffery
ModelDecal 1/72 RN Wessex, RAF Lightning, RAF Chinook
Caracal 1/72 F-4 Edwards AFB Test Phantoms
CtA 1/72 Flock Of Intruders.  A-6 decals for my planned OWGB build.

So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Just FYI, Monsters in Motion have a whole slew of Atlantis reboxings of various renwall & etc stuff listed as new - ships, cars, lots.
Probably available elsewhere, too.

Just a note for those who might be interested... ;)

Captain Canada

Hi Everybody ! Haven't been kit shopping in awhile. But I had to go to Traverse City, MI last week. First time in America in almost 2 years ! Of course I had to stop at Dean's in Owosso, MI. Sadly, they are closing in July. The owner Dean is retiring. It will also mean the loss of my connection to Comrade Anthony. He hooked me up with the joint probably 15+ years ago now. Man time flies......

Got a kit I've wanted since I was a kid, the 32nd scale Revell Harrier ! Sadly, the entries for the contest I could enter with said purchase expired on May 31, 1974. I've always wanted to detail this kit a little and display it in my home. I'm thinking a GR.3 would be more apt.

And all in 144th scale :

AVF Sea King twin pack
Amodel DHC Buffalo
Roden Boeing 720 Starship One
Roden VC10 K3
Roden VC10 K4

All for 130 USD. Man I've missed, and am going to miss that place !
CANADA KICKS arse !!!!

AZ and KPM are the same people.

I know Lee. I'm not 100% sure why they keep the two labels going, I thought I did, but not now.

The PAK-20 book says there are two KPM companies, both Czech. KPM/Kosice was a three man group that produced vacuform kits, the other, KPM/Prague is listed as another small group who produced most of the Czechmaster resin kits. Czechmaster was an outlet for the many one-person casters to sell their products.

From the eBay Fairy, one of those kits I've been looking for for a long time but couldnt find at a reasonable price.  Finally I did, and it's in new condition.

1/48 Italeri PAH-2 anti-tank helo

Thinking this one may sport Royal Marines markings.
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Cheeky!  I know they've released whifs in the past but IIRC they've been a bit more blatant than the Z-37TM.
A few years ago I'd convinced myself the Greek markings in an AZ Spit LF16 boxing were whiffery.  Because the Greeks only flew Spit V and IXs.  Absolutely.  100% fact.

Except they also flew 16s, as I found out a couple of years later when I read an article in Aeroplane. D'oh!  Only 66 of them.  Dug out my Spitfire books and they all say in the not-so-small print that  Greece operated LF16s.

Don't assume - check!
