Right my purchases at SMW were as follows, all 1/72 -

Freightdog P.1027 Eagle Tempest conversion
KP Hawker Tempest to go with the above
Arma Hobby P-39Q Airacobra
Planet Blohm & Voss P.196.01
Planet Blohm & Voss P.193.01
(Thanks for the steer on these Lee, half price  )

Some glues, paints, paint brushes and canopy masks (Eduard and Peewit)

Not to great a haul as after Saturday night's escapades (I got to benefit from services of Telford and Shrewsbury Ambulance and General Hospital services) I wasn't really up to to much on Sunday. Have to grab some missing things at Leeds Armouries in February

Really good and enjoyable show

1 x Armor35 1/35 Fantasy Girl Stalker (ARM35932) - post-apocalypse figure
2 x AK-Interactive 1/35 FJ43 SUV with Hard Top (AK-35001) - Not as cheap as I'd like but I would have bought more if I was wealthy
Quote from: Old Wombat on November 09, 2022, 06:00:58 AM2 x Airfix 1/48 Blackburn Buccaneer S.2 (AX12012) - 1 x RAN (anti-shipping), 1 x RAMs (tactical strike)

Picked both of these orders up yesterday.

The Armour35 figures are (unsurprisingly) pretty good but are, probably, the last Russian items I'll buy until Putin is either ousted from power or dead. The "stalker" figure has a rifle that's obviously a Mosin-Nagant, which needs to be swapped-out-for/modified-into something better/more-modern.

The AK-Interactive FJ43 Landcruisers are nice & shouldn't be too difficult to convert into FJ40 Landcruisers (well, at least one of them).

The Airfix S.2C/D Buccaneers are, well, BIG!

Detail, on a relatively quick inspection of the box contents, looks very good - much better than the old Airfix S.2B kit.

Speaking of which, I really need to figure out something weird to do with that old beast, 3 x 1/48 Buccaneers in the stash is verging on ridiculous! :o

That's probably the first thing that struck me with the 1/48 scale kit

Oooh, not the best of kits (understatement), I do hope it's for dismemberment and reassembly.  The best I can say about that kit (I once had one) is that whatever you do to it, it'll be an improvement!

One of them could be the basis of some scalorama 1950s/60s Tupolev airliner or bomber - a sort of strange, dumpy, mutant cousin of the Tu-104/124/134 or the Tu-16 but with an airliner-style cockpit.

I wonder what an RAN Buccaneer S Mk3a, operating of HMAS Melbourne in 2027 would look like?

With you guys going GA GA over the new Airfix Buccaneer I took a look at one on Wednesday when I was at my NLHS..N is for Not..as my local hobby store is 144kms away
Anyways it's a beauty for sure ..crisp panel lines..clean molds and yeah ..not small ..neither is the price here boys..over a $130 nz ..so nope won't be getting one of those  ;D
It's a brand new release here so the price isn't at all surprising but the price ain't slowing ppl down..James told be they'd sold 3 already..not bad going really.

Received this today... In my recent 1/72 P-47 kits procurement process, i found out about this kit. I was aware of the matchbox-type panel lines but those don't bother me much in this scale but there may be a few fit issues that may be a bit tricky to get around.

Anyway, the panel lines don't look worse than those on the Matchbox 1/72 Saab Tunnan and i've built that one so the panel lines won't be an issue. This will do fine until we have a better kit of a P-47N in 1/72.

And regarding 1/48 kits, although i already had the Wingman Kfir C.10 kit in the stash, which is based on the Kinetic kit, i decided that i want another one and pressed the preorder button on the Ammo by Mig site for the new Kinetic C.10. It's got a special preorder price so it's a bit cheaper than it'll be when it becomes available. Also, it's free shipping from Spain to Portugal so, it's probably the best price i'll find anytime soon.

That's kinda nuts like here Scooter and then ya chuck in postage to here and there's ya 130 ...but as a beautiful kit as it is patience will have to prevail as I spent my monthly kit money on a italeri armoured HEMITT..for a project I've got and it was $49 NZ so that's mine and damn cheap..will be good to see if it's any better than italeri's original release.
