This is coming together rather nicely
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

take off and nuke the site form orbit, nope, time for the real thing, CAM and gridfire, call special circumstances.

If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

Well I cut the canopy open with much anxiety for fear of breaking it. Glued on the main portion and I'll paint the opening parts separately. I also painted the area on the tail boom for the invasion stripes white. I'll mask off for the black next.

I had to add foot pegs on the right side as it seems only the right side of the Apache cockpit opens. Seems kind of stupid if the chopper crashes and ends up on its right side. Maybe I'm wrong.

Man thats comin along nicely and yup not a fan of canopy cutting
Im only guessing here but i think they open to the right cause of rotor blade rotations ..the spinning direction will throw the fuselage onto its left side when the poop goes sideways ...but thats only a idea.
The Mil 24 Hind canopy opens with the pilots opening to the left and gunners to the right..looking from the front..so yep im guessing

Put some paint on the Apache in the last couple days. Tamiya neutral grey and model master 1911 olive drab. Model paint and no problems! Imagine that! Now to see what glosscoat will do. Wish me luck!
Oh, and pics to follow later tonight.

Here's the pics as promised. A little touch up on the neutral grey since the pics were taken. Next is gloss, decals and a couple black stripes. I might use some of the Flying Tiger markings from the P-40B kits I used to make this. Let's say some AVG vets ended up transfering to Britain and trained on how to fly these crazy new machines!

Thanks! Definitely better than the first time around. Sprayed on some good old fashioned Testers gloss coat and it looks good. I'll need to mask off the black stripes and spray them gloss black. Then ready for decals. The A-10 version is waiting in the wings.

Added a little black tonight.

A good use for those dumb plastic bags that are always laying around.

Nothing a tiny brush can't fix. I'll have to touch up as not even the most ham fisted mechanics would have gotten a stripe that crooked!

The black paint stuck better on the satin white I used as primer on the A-10 version compared to the Apache version which had a layer of glosscoat already applied. I'll have to watch the order in which I apply paints! Apache is almost ready for decals!

The A-10 version will be British so I plan to apply standard fighter camouflage with the airbrush using acrylic paints and silly putty for masking.

I don't know which would have been more of a PITA to apply, the paint or decals but here it is and that's where it will stay.
