I did use drop tank halves cut about in half and mated together. Gives a rounded off look that fits the situation. I was thinking of how to add a WW2 style rudder but the hinge line is always vertical. Would be hard to do with the swept back tail. I'll look at that again.

Wardukw-NZ, that Seaking attack chopper was a monster too! IIRC it still had some cabin room like the Hind. It was also very fast. The US Army in all its wisdom decided speed wasn't important in a strategy that relied on pop up tactics so the Seaking version stopped at one company machine. There were videos on youtube I hope they are still there. Pretty cool.

Kerick mate thats one thing which always get me ..ya i know most of it is either economic or political but when you get something like the seaking or the cheyenne or the f16 xl and decide not to go with something that whoops the hell out if everything else it makes no sense.
The f16xl was far better than the f16 but no ..lets stick with something clearly not as good .
It does clearly show that these (insert swearword here) really dont care to much about the combat personnal and think of all the cool models that didnt get made for us to turn into something else  ;D
Im gonna do some hunting for info on that seaking..this thing has got me intrested.

Look for Sikorsky S-67 Blackhawk. It's a company name since it was never accepted by the Army.

Ive seen that chopper before ..the S-67 ..seen a vid to and of course pics.
It was a hell of a bird and i think it was the prangs that killed off that chopper ..i bet if they had done more development it would have been a serious piece of kit for sure and the most important thing is it looks far cooler than a Apache.

Prang in the singular.

There was only one S-67 built and it crashed terminally at the '74 Farnborough Press Day. A pretty sad affair all round as both crew members died. :(
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Kit mate thats a bugger if ive ever heard it..shame to say but thats the nature of flying prototype aircraft .
That would put a massive damper on any project and i know the military dont like that sort of thing back then.
Still dont explain the V22 Osprey tho.

I'm still messing around with the A-10/Blackhawk combo. I might just get this to work. I'm considering British or Soviet markings as I have several of those in the stash. I'll see if I can get Some Spitfire or Hurricane kits or something Russian. As usual, the painting will be the big challenge.
I'm also going to get another AH-64 kit asap. Now I know how to do it better and quicker.

It is weird! I had to use a little plastic communion cup for the shroud for the rotor hub. I think British markings if I can find a couple spitfire or hurricane kits.

Even more weird ..told ya i like weird and this is sounding even better  ;D
Im gonna be getting a A10 and ive got some planes for it ..not as nuts as yours tho
Gonna turn it into a hugely upgraded verison.
I just had a thought..are you still gonna be using the Avenger cannon ?
Im asking because if you fire such a powerful gun from a helicopter it will literally fly backwards and that would be hilarious as hell 😂

Keeping with the WW2 era no GAU-8 cannons although 20mm and .50 cals will be present.

Keeping with the WW2 era
In the whif world, time machines do exist: a plane of 1942 may have equipment from 1985 without problem ;D

Well its technology time and a bit of revit counting .
Building your beast with a GAU8 wouldnt work ..the size of this gun with its ammo drum and feed system would mean that there would be no crew area at all so your idea of the 50's and 20's is a much more appropriate idea and would also make the craft much lighter and faster and we all know faster is better ..even tho i love rotary weapons and you should see what im going to be doing with one in the future ..this makes much more sense..so Kerick ol mate im with ya on this idea  ;D
I wonder if that ol line less is more applys here
