De Havilland Dragon Rapide Floatplane.

Not a total whiff as I used photos of a RW example to build the struts and floats from the Matchbox/Revell Norseman.  I finished this in June last year and then it seems I didn't post pics as I intended to build a beaching trolley right away.

It only took me seven months to build the trolley.  But I did build a tractor too.

The Model.

Floats from Revell (nee Matchbox) Noorduyn Norseman.
Beaching trolley built from Evergreen scratch and wheels from my parts box.
Tractor by Hasegawa.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

That looks magnificent Fred.

And I love the beaching trolley and tractor too. It reminds me to build a 'tractor' for my Martin Monterey (it'll be a Stalwart....  ;))

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Considering that a Stolly floats, are you sure it will be a tractor for it and not a tug?  :-\

Both, that's WHY I picked a Stolly. It'll haul the Monterey right onto the ramp without having to swap to a separate tractor.  ;D

Lovely build Fred..the Rapide is a very cool little plane and chucking floats on it is even better..there is one sucky thing about it tho..my sister has flown in one when she visited family in Kent .
Other than that..love it matey    ;D
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .

very nice look to it,  it fits together very well, and is oddly elegant
the things you learn, give your mind the wings to fly, and the chains to hold yourself steady
take off and nuke the site form orbit, nope, time for the real thing, CAM and gridfire, call special circumstances.

A Rapide was the first aircraft I EVER flew in, but it was actually an RAF Dominie. That was in 1956 and they were still in RAF service at the time.
