BAC CASmaster

Designed and built as a private venture to replace the  strikemaster, and as an affordable  close air support  and COIN aircraft  for foreign customers. Several  were purchased by the MOD for use by the RAF  in North  and central Africa  during operation  Saladin. Although  similar to  the strikemaster,  the aircraft is completely new from the ground up, and has been designed as a combat aircraft from the start.  Fixed armament  consists of  two 30 mm cannon,  and 6 hard points under the wings and fuselage  for rocket pods gun pods bombs and napalm. The kit is the 1/72nd scale hobbycraft Canadair  Tutor, with a widened rear fuselage,  bigger exhaust  nozzle and a pair of cannon  ports in the fuselage.
