If the fighters are carried wheels up you just need to scribe UC doors into the undersides of the wings.

Eventhough it's way over 120 days since I last posted an update on this project I'm happy to announce the cradles for the Fokker D. XXI's are made and put on the wings of the Fokker T. XI.  I also put some paint on the beast but found out there were too many pin pricks, holes, bumps and scratches to my liking so sanded the majority off.

Pinpricks, holes and bumps are painted in three/four layer of black and sanded smooth ( hope it's done well enough). so it's readied for another go with the spraygun.  Meanwhile the cradles were made (Sciccors constructions to lift once the D. XXI's were place over the cradles and drop down once the D. XXI's were released). Now a fairing needs to be placed in front of the forward attachment points and it's off to the spraybooth.

Test fit with one D.XXI on the rightside cradle. Was all stable and didn';t collapse.

So, the other cradle was installed aswell and tested with the other D.XXI. Again all stable

Oh, note to myself: need to install foldable wing stabilizing rods before paint job starts.

The "Guard" fell asleep due to the hot weather.

Glad you've got back to this.

As for the "guard" I'd cut his/her rations for a couple of days  ;D  ;)

The "Guard" (Gremlin the cat) loves his food and especially cheese. He doesn't really care whether it's Dutch cheese or French cheese. He woke up in the evening for the usual sachet of food, fell asleep again. Wonderfull...

Despite the temperature the Fokker Zveno combo got its colors. Made some errors on the right wing so these need to be correct tomorrow together with tidying up the overspray.

;D  ;D  Not known a cat like cheese before, was always told they were pure carnivores unlike dogs who are omnivores

They are looking really good   I've always liked these pre-WWII multi coloured schemes, especially the Dutch use of chocolate brown undersides. Hataka even do a specific paint set for them.

Most of my cats have liked cheese & a couple have liked the odd bowl of milk occasionally (but never regularly or frequently).

Our cat used to have the occaisional bowl of milk, but not that often. He was a rather fussy eater, unlike the dog who'd eat anything she could get to  ;D

That sounds like Kitty, the Chocolate Labrador.

I've just spent three days replacing plants that she has eaten/dug up/shredded but this time they have wire shields around/over them. :banghead:

I also did some pruning ... with a chainsaw. That was fun! ;D

Love the 17/24 combo.

Love it so much I'm thinking we need a "Meet in the Middle" group build with combos of rival/similar aircraft (Spitfires and Hurricanes, F-15s and 16s, 190s and 109s...)

Slowly but surely it's getting to the finish. Still some huffin and puffing to do...

Meanwhile some pictures to boost morale.

Probably need to redo the tails of the D XXI's and paint them in red, white and blue as the colors of the decal are a tad off IMHO. Also a good opportunity to do the tail of the T. XI in the same colors.
