Thanks Stan in yul!
Stan, what did you think of this whif addition?

Thanks Tophe for the fun and games.  I suppose the technologist in me cringes at the torque this would have in real life but it certainly looks cool on a display shelf!

It always surprised me that originally the 162 was supposed to be flown by quickly trained youngsters, but that the one wing that was put together would have had more experienced pilots. So the Luftwaffe realised it would take a bit of experience to fly the thing.

I always thought that in some respects the Me-163 would have been the better choice as it was such a good glider: if you survived the take off the rest was a piece of cake.

Providing there was no fuel left at all to spark upon landing
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I suppose that under less stressed circumstances they would have added a nitrogen gas purge-on-engine shutdown system.

I think the ME 163 was the only plane which could kill you before you took off and after you landed..ummm yeah count me out of that one
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .
