I had to put aside my AMS (advanced modelers syndrome) and get this one done. I'll post finished pics soon.
Thanks for all the kind compliments and encouragement!

Here are the pics I promised. Be advised the IFR probe broke off again so that will get fixed asap and it needs to be permanently attached the the base. Otherwise she is done!

Not bad for an old Revell kit circa 1956! Especially since the aircraft wasn't seen until the Moscow display in 1955.
I'm calling it the Myasishchev 3M-F "Bison D" dedicated MRA version of the M-4 bomber. Sounds good anyway!

One question..are ya gonna remove the masking tape of the cockpit glass ?

That looks very smart and very 'Russian', all at the same time.

That's looking a lot better than expected. Almost like a wooden desktop model from the Mjassischtschew design bureau.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

It looks great - nice work!

Although I find it a bit odd that you blued the cockpit windows, but all the clear blisters are still clear ... Don't get me wrong, I think it's a great model and you did a great job, it's just that one ... oddity, from my perspective.

Nope, I think Phill has it right, kerick has forgotten to take / has not yet taken the tape off the windscreens. ;)

I suppose I could have used black instead of blue but that's what the leftover JU88 decals had. The kit screen was a total glue bomb and ran away partway through the build anyway. You're right though it does look like blue masking tape. Best I could do with what I had. I was thinking of trying to mold a new screen from the old one using the UV resin but then it got scared and ran off.

How about repainting the screen in gloss black?
