Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

What percentage of the donor Lightning ,Canberra and Hunter is passable for this GB?
I've grafted the Lightning T.55 to the Mirage IVP before but didn't get around to finishing it. I have seen parts of the Airfix 1/72 TSR.2 and I have the Sword T.5.

That's a very good question...............

The rules say the model '....must be based on....', but it doesn't say how MUCH of the model should be an L, H, or C.

I'll consult with my fellow Mod and get back to you.

The answer is...

...it depends.

If the aim is to build a LH or C (or LHC derivative/prototype) then the answer is none.  You can use anything and everything to create it.  No actual Lightning, Hunter, or Canberra parts are needed.
For example, it would be acceptable to chop up a Warthog, realign the engines vertically, crank the wings back by 45 degrees and call it a Strike Lightning.

If the aim is to build something that is not an LH or C using LH or C parts then the answer is "a significant amount".  How much a significant amount is is decided by the mods so run your plans past us and we will deem them acceptable or not.
As a rough guide, using a Canberra nose wheel as the hood ornament on a Hot Rod that contains no other LH or C parts would not be acceptable while cutting the wings off s Hunter and turning the fuselage into a submarine aircraft carrier would be OK.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

So translated 'the hood' means the bonnet  ;D.

Yes, that'd be from the original Strine..............  ;D

It lacks twin fins!  ;)
Would you put the second fin behind the existing one, or ahead of it?  ;D

PR19_Kit

Neither, it needs two BIG ones, F3-F6 style, angled away from the outer corners of the fuselage, F-14-like.

Tempted to try another sea-based lightning, would do a few things differently from my last try.

Some of the following whifs can easily be promoted to Lightnings. Well, I guess....

I'm looking at the Revell Hunter in my stash and wishing I'd bought a few more at the cheap price on the box. It surprises me that so few Commonwealth countries operated the Hawker Hunter.

This one is likely to become a Kiwi bird with RNZAF markings. Probably with standard RAF camo scheme. I see them as serving from 1958-1972. I need to search my stash for the fern leaf roundels I think I have. Otherwise it will be wearing the modern roundel at the end of its service life.

Here's one from way back. Probably one of my first whiffs. A Hunter turned into a space fighter.

No idea anymore what kit it was. I re-positioned almost every Hunter part, added rocket engine from a Space Shuttle kit and missile pods from a Gundam type kit.

From the panel lines I'd hazard a guess at it being the Matchbox kit? But what you did with it is incredible  ;D
Oh to be whiffing again :-(
