The zwilling version of the Twin-Lightning was a wide single-seater.
But with 8 engines and 4 fins, it was simply like a B-52 with E-2 tail.

(Maybe this is outside the "Lightning derivatives" but I show it as a side product.)
Dassault engineers, jealous of the French-English public cooperation, tried to copy the EE Lightning, for its good engine layout (for a 2-engined Mirage 5 that would replace the Mirage IV). They tried it first with micro engines then with normal Atar engines of Mirage. Then they considered a twin-prototype, Twin-Mirage yes (Double-Mirage in French) to compare with small and big engines. But official protest from England (for illegal copy of the Twin-Lightning) produced a diplomatic crisis and these projects were all cancelled.

Surprise today: I am discovering that the EE Twin-Lightning is not a flying machine but a piece of jewelry: cufflinks!
With pleasant asymmetry moreover: simple lightning on one arm and Twin-lightning on the other arm!
