So who will be the lucky operator of this Super Etendard?   



Not 100% sure yet but thinking of a 1/48 redo of the 1/72 Academy one I built but never got mounted for an inflight display before I took a long break from the hobby.  I'll try to dig out a pic or find the thread for reference.

I did a (modernized in Israel) Indonesian Navy Étendard a while ago, and a Marineflieger SuE.

This was my Academy one build back around 2010 I think. 


Always thought the SuE would look good in Light Gull Gray over White.  Could not come up with a viable backstory for USN service though so tried it in RAN colors and liked it.  I have an "Aussies At Sea" decal sheet with decals for the VF805 Skyhawks.  I don't have the Chess Knight decal, just the checkerboards, which wont fit the tail of the SuE, so it may end up being a bit of a masking job.  We'll see. 

Also not ruling out a RN version, provided by France as part exchange for a CVA-01 class Aircraft Carrier...

That's my favorite too ! I imagined it as an alternative for the Mirage 2000 in the antiship mission, but alternate A-7 sounds good too ! Opens a lot of possiblities for the camouflage !
