Wow - this looks like a 50% (or more) scratchbuilt project. Looks like it has an excess of vroom.

Wardukw

Thats band on Frank mate..and as for the vroom..think it might be a weee bit more powerful than i first thought  ;D
The engine in the RW is around 800hp..so nothing to nuts but slapping the turbos has changed that bigtime.
These turbos..oh these turbos ..i scaled them to 1/1 and they are 109mm inlets..which means ..700+ hp per turbo..so the math is 2200hp at full noise  ;D
Thinking that would work very well at Pikes Peak .
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

perttime

I was just going to ask if you think that the turbos are big enough...

Wardukw

Thats a perfectly viable question
Honestly i kinda wish they were slighty smaller but these cost $6.50nz and they were in country   ;D
They now add more to the visual impact off this thing.
What till ya see the aero for this

I don't think I've ever seen a car with turbos mounted on the rear suspension before!  :o

Bada bing...

This is looking very promising.  Although the steering wheel is on the wrong side.

You're not using slicks for a hill-climber, are you, Phill? :o

I, also, note that you seem to have a team sponsor organised, already. ;)

See here,  https://www.sportingcarclub.com.au/hillclimb

There is also a less civilised (although no less fun to watch) form of hill climbing where you basically just point a car (or motorcycle) straight up a hillside and see how far up you can get before you lose traction.

And The Sponsor has spoken! ;D

Me, being less civilised, immediately thought of the "direct vertical challenge" & completely forgot about the ""windy uphill road challenge".

With that much power, all you need to do is add a couple of wings and  it won't need wheels to get to the top of any mountain!

 thats just how it looks in the pics Kit..the turbos are connected to the exhausts and the way their sitting might not be their final place..still tweaking them a bit.
Guy me ol mate slicks are what are used on Pikes Peak now and many European hill climbs too.
In the old days of Pikes Peak alot of the track was gravel so treaded tires were used but its tarseal the whole way up now .
As for my sponsor  ;D ..thats so cool having ratty decals ..their going to make this thing look sweet
Our nut bar mates in Iceland with their ideas about hillclimb is hilarious and i love it ..these nitrous powered monesters are awesome and i absolutely want to drive one especially on water too  ;D
And yes Guy  they can and do drive on water ..these cars on average have over 1000HP with NOS and paddle tyres and i want one !
Ok chaps heres a car for ya ..its called The Sheriff..Nissan R35 GTR..1600HP..huge aero and fast is a understatement and the driver uses every one of the 1600 horsepower he has to play with..its a totally black car and evil as hell..that car is on my build list  ;D
Frank i like where your going with your ideas dude  but sorry im still gonna need wheels  ;)
I was watching DeBoss garage on YouTube and he was just at Pikes Peak and diesel powered machines are there in force now and very not slow but watching it made me realize the power my car has is pretty good..the air up top is so thin that the cars loose alot of power by the time they get to the top ..my car would loose around 700hp and the depends on the weather too but the altitude will always come into play.

Well ive been a slightly busy little bee playing with the monster ,,ive built the new wings for the car ,,the front is just a modified F1 wing with another one added for more down force ,,the rear wing uses the side panels from a F1 wing and the stiffeners in the wing are also bits from the F1 donor car ,,the rest is all scratch built.
This is the first wing idea ...

And now the second idea which looks far better ...

Now the front wing without a car ..

Heres the rear wing and i like this as it turned out quite well and it will look the part ..

Also i finally came up with an idea for the guards of the car ,,the fronts as you can seen work ok so i just made bigger ones for the rear ,,i also used more parts from the F1 car for the intakes to the oil and trans coolers ..which will be in there at some point ,,once ive made em that is  <_<
