Tophe

The Lightning's wing being a truncated delta, maybe completing the wing chord would be enough without installing a complete new wing? But I don't know how to make that solid and with a correct profile for airflows...

That box stirs long forgotten memories.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

The Wooksta!

Lightning's wings are a notched delta. Plans for a full tailed delta wing version were drawn up under the P.6 project.  The engines were intended as reheated Sapphires and the rear fuselage was redesigned with longer exhausts.  TsrJoe gave me a revised resin back end some years back which I've just rediscovered.

Those who've done a delta have generally started with a TSR2 wing as it has the correct 60 degree sweep (the SB5 had tested a variant of the wing with further sweepback) and the correct span.

A Mirage III wing in 48th might be a decent basis.

Or a 1/72 Mirage IV?  Expensive, mind you.........
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage

Use the fuselage as the basis for a Hawker P.1129.

I shall be using...

...no, you'll just have to wait and see.  But it's none of the above.

Fuselage halves joined today.  The cockpit consists of a seat and a pilot glued to the sloping rear bulkhead.

I don't have any F-102 or Space Shuttle wings and the closest to Concorde is the wings from a MiG 21 Analog.  But I do also have a Viggen, F-15, a Mirage IV, both MiG 25 and 31, F/A-18, a Gripen, and a Draken.

At one point, before settling on delta wings I was offering up F-104 wings.  Just pause and picture that for a moment...

...yes, interesting mental image isn't it.   ;D

Intruder wings looked almost normal in comparison.  Mustang wings were tempting and Tophe would have liked them.

Anyhoo, enough contemplation of the contents of my Wings Box (Mosquito was also an option) here's the starter picture.  Taken before I got the Wings Box out so don't bother looking for clues.

Tanker may be needed even without Starfighter wings 'cause I don't know where the go-juice lives...
