Not done much to this today other than to fit some weight behind the cockpit.

I think that should be enough, if not there should be room for a bit in the nose.

You might need a titanium nose wheel leg with that much lead in there!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Very little done other than to fit the wing tips to the lower surfaces of the wings, it's not much but it is something and to think that yesterday I had thought of closeing up the fuselage tonight  :banghead:

Just put the wings together and used the following to sort out the thick tips

That is a section of 0.2 x 0.2 plastic strip which is overly thick. Better that than too thin. I reduced the height with frequent checks with the other half of the wing to ensure that there was not going to be any step between the tip and the wing which resulted in the picture below

There will be small amounts of filler required tomorrow once the glue has had time to cure but that will have mainly been down to my ham fisted cutting and trimming than anything else.

Fuselage is together, and as per my modelling rule Number three, it is not as nice a fit as it was when I dry fitted it  :banghead:

That's high up on my "rules list" as well

Did a bit more a few minuites ago, the tail is on as are the rest of the nose parts and the splitter plates and I am about to fit the dog tooth and flaps to the wings which will be about as far as it gets today. Considering that nothing has been done for a while I will settle for that for today as there are other builds that need work too.

Did a little to this recently. The wings were attached before the end of the Group Build and a couple of days ago I decided to do some more work only to find that the top of the Starboard wing root was not seated correctly. So after a modicum of carefully applied pressure and some liquid poly followed by more liquid poly and more force, this time to correct the fit and the job was done.
This evening has been spent sorting out the pylons for the Firestreaks care of an Airfix Lightning F.6 which is getting a pair of Genies instead so the pylons were available for use on the Hunter.
