As Tophe wrote, it has a very elegant shape.
Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

I've started the interminable PSR on the PR16. I've done three sessions so far today, and broken the SAME tailplane off three times........ :banghead: :banghead:

So now it's staying off till I've finished the priming and PSR etc.

There's a heck of a lot of PSR of course, because none of the bits that are glued together around the wing roots were intended to be together. But now they are.  ;D

I pity the poor modeler (a Joan Baez' song, no?)...

It's part of life for me Tophe.  ;D
All right. Congratulations for your wisdom.

Joan Baez' (pretty) song is at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AhAmv7-m1_I
with different lyrics, speaking of "to do evil" not "to build models and PSR them"... ;)

I've been thinking about the colour scheme for the PR16, and I like Dizzy's idea of PRU Blue, but maybe not all over.

Having the upper side in Medium Grey would be just TOO much like the Meteor PR19a, so how about that Dark Green on top, as sported by the German based Lightning F2As of the period, and PRU Blue underneath, with two-colour 'Type B' roundels and fin flashes?

It's going to be with 544 Sqdn., a PR unit that only existed during WWII, but was resurrected to fly the PR16s of course.  ;D

Wait to attach the tailplanes until after the heavy PSR is done?

Tailplanes? It didn't have any. I mean, look at the artwork here!  ;D ;D ;D

Umm... I thought this had a Hunter as it's basis...

It has, the rear half of the fuselage anyway, plus the overall 'look' I hope.  ;D

One day I'm going to build an Airfix F6 OOB JUST like that, sans tailplanes, and woe betide any JMN who comments.......  ;)

The PR16's had it's first primer coat now, and there's LOTS more PSR to do sadly. :(

My I humbly suggest, PRU Blue undersides, and Light Slate Grey over Medium sea grey for the rest? As used on Meteor FR.9s And Canberras. Oddly enough both using a high demarcation line between the PRU Blue and the two camouflage colours, might look a bit different on a Hunter?

The British have raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved". Soon though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross". Londoners have not been "A Bit Cross" since the Blitz in 1940 when tea supplies ran out for three weeks
