For various reasons I find myself working on FIVE build at the same time.  :banghead:

That's Alistair's wonderfully 'pointy' 1/144 scale Vickers Swallow, my Supermarine Defender F3, another Supermarine, this time the Swift F9, a Swedish aerobatic team's Lightning F3S, and the Hunter PR16.

In a short while they'll ALL be at the same stage, having been primed and going through the post-priming PSR sessions. In my case this stage always last for EVER, so I can see some frustration in my future. :(

Would I have done better by concentrating on just one of them at a time?

So start something else...

I find that I work best with only one project on the go at any given time.

If I work on more the workspace becomes a complete shambles almost instantly, & I start losing parts & tools left, right & centre.

When I'm doing one kit, I do what I can, then hop online to visit you guys, here, & BtS, & to check out a couple of YouTube sites I like.

It makes my build rate fairly slow BUT my completion ratio is much, much higher!

As I think I've stated earlier, I get my build energy from lust, so I build whatever I fancy for the time being. Generally, that means at least a few dozens of projects on one or another build stage, some not touched for years and years. But somehow, they all seem to become something in the end. And I'm having loads of fun in the meantime.

Which, after all, is what it's all about, eh?  ;D

This means you are doing it right!!

Indicative of the situation I find myself in, with respect to the five builds I have in progress right now, here they all are, in various states of build.

The Swallow's 1/144 scale, good thing too or I'd never have got it into the pic!

Modelling in this heat, and it's 36 C outside here today, and 30 C indoors, is remarkably rapid.

Any putty goes off in no time, even my fave Presto, and De Luxe putty dries in the mouth of the tube!

And my decal varnish dries so fast I can give a sheet one coat and put it down, switch to another sheet, then go straight back and put a 2nd coat on the first sheet right away!

As for using acrylic paint, it goes sticky on the palette before it's dried on the model...............

All looking very fine indeed, a nice little collection
