I see you chose a Campbell-like colour scheme. Noble's cars (in my story) are more gaudy, and covered with sponsor's decals.
I'd be afraid of using a nose-up trim. Cars I know of are level or even nose-down.

A pair of canards on the front to act as a downforce spoiler should do the trick.

But they slow you down on the speed run. ;)

So you need more power to compensate.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Make them either retractable or "swing canards"  ;)
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Cool.

I should get around to finishing the one I started yonks ago using the Tamiya 1/100 kit, based on this
quick and dirty profile I did in 2007.
I've since rethought the wheel arrangement.  ;)

:o

It was a quick'n'dirty rendering of the notion and the wheels and fuselage attitude have been rethought. The forward wheels and their spats were going to be connected to the body by an inverted aerofoil structure for the reasons you mention.

I went for a Bluebird connection for fun and I've decided it'll be nicknamed the Blitzen-Bird.

Hmm, I am also contemplating an LSR Lightning, one I was going to do for the LSR Group Build all those years ago.
Getting rid of that belly tank has kept me off but seeing your start, I might have to dig it back out.

However, I am on the road to the US Nats on Monday with the show starting Wednesday, so nothing will happen until next week.

I did find the old drawing I did back then.  We shall see.

It is a long time without news about this model project, while the end of the GB is soon now.
I hope this project is not cancelled, as it was so promising.
I came back here to read the true name of those racers without wings, for a book I was writing. Thanks it was helpful for me, while Google Translate would not have given the true name from my French language. But this model in itself was interesting too.
