I ordered one of Colins [Freightdog] tandem two seat Hunter conversions with the plan to make an All Weather Interceptor Hunter for this GB, Retrieving the Revell FGA.9 from the stash, I was surprised to discover that the box also contained the P,1083 Supersonic Hunter conversion set! So, ambition over ability allowing, it will be a 2 seat supersonic Hunter

It makes a good mix. That's pretty much what I did with my Hunter T12 a while back.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Gondor

I have one part built myself. Good buy by the way as those supersonic sets are getting rare.

Hawker Hunter F.A.W.1 56 Squadron Display Team "The Firebirds"
As is well documented, the Firebirds, formed in 1963, were the aerobatic display team for 56 Squadron flying the E.E. Lightning. However, prior to operating the Lightning, the Squadron flew various marks of the Hawker Hunter, including for a brief spell, the two seater supersonic Hunter FAW Mk.1, introduced in late 1959. The last remaining Hunter FAW Mk.1 was used by the display team as a support aircraft and was painted in an identical scheme to the Lightnings.

Good job LO.  Into the Finished Builds Thread by the skin of its teeth.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.
