Painted some weapons today. Is there a good generic thinner for enamels? Some of mine are getting thick in the jar and go on a little goopy. It's either that or I need new paints all the time. I've tried lacquer thinner but the paint seems to go bad soon after. Maybe mineral spirits?

For Humbrols, I've found that generic white spirit won't work. It just dissipates, leaving the paint as it was very quickly, and worse - it does the same on the brush even quicker, so you'll have problems painting. White spirit will work nicely for cleaning brushes though.

For thinning, I've resorted to Humbrols own thinner. Dead expensive, but as I use rather small amounts, it last a good time.
