Having a quick look at the Traders list for SMW this morning to see if AZ/KP would be there and they and a fair few of the larger EU producers and traders won't be. All down to the added complications caused by us leaving the EU unfortunately. It will be the same for UK producers/traders going to EU shows as well, such a shame.

Interestingly Hannants don't appear on the latest (14th August) list of traders booked either, odd ?

Just under 5 weeks to go  :-X  and Hannants are now on the list of Traders  ;)

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

4 weeks today at this time and we'll either be on wind down or one last mad scramble to see if there are any bargains we've missed. Rather like me and the Planet Fw 191 last year  ;D

Just under three weeks to go to Telford - what happened to the last 12 months :o  :o

Hannants orders are in, Freightdog wants identified (at least for now).  Need to decide what to take for the SIG table - one item is very close to completion and while I'm hoping to get one more done I think disruption caused by bathroom refurb will put paid to that model being ready in time.

Bathroom refurb and other stuff going on at home mean I'm probably only going to be there on the Saturday  :-\  but things may change.  Shame if it is just the one day but catching up with SIGgers on the Saturday is always the best bit of the show.

Apart from what's in the Hannants order the only thing I'm after is a 1/72 Academy PBY-5 Catalina - a flying boat not an amphibiam PBY-5A.  In addition I can be seduced by a reasonably-priced 1/72 Hobbycraft CF-100 Canuck Mk 5.

Shame there's no kitswap, have stuff to dispose of, may post a list later this week.

Meanwhile I guess we can see the Airfix 1/24 Spitfire IXc, 1/48 Anson I and 1/72 Meteor F8 on show on the Airfix stand, along with numerous other releases and repops - but what new kits/repops may be announced?  Aircraft-wise more 1/48, hopefully more 1/72.  New 1/72 Gloster Javelin and Sea Vixen?  Vintage Series Cessna O-2 and Short Skyvan?  Probably not but I guess there'll be a lot of adaptations of recent/new kits

As I've said elsewhere I'm traveling two weeks tomorrow so I've no idea where this three weeks comes from.  ;D

Not put my Hannants order in, probably this weekend, but Freightdog is ordered   Not sure I'm after that much, but I said that last year

RMT changing their strike dates (for the best of reasons) may give me a slight headache, but I have a back up plan in place

As things stand I've got 2 weekends to finish kits for Telford plus the Thursday before. See my blog under Nicks Notes for details.

I'm surprised the floor plan hasn't been revealed yet but I'm sure there's a good reason for that.

I have some kits to sell so keep your eyes open. As usual I have no plans to buy anything but will snap up whatever looks good.

Thorvic

IPMS are saying the floor plans will be released next weekend, so less than a week before the show.

Sadley no cat sitters avaiable and a recent change in meds makes it a little risky to do the day tripping, much as i would like to, so have a great show.
As the meds are for blood pressure, it;s been a wise move to abort and not have the stress of trying to finish builds and collating kits together for the displays this autumn.
