I know what you mean Lee, but every now and then I feel the need to pay penance for my sins  ;)

What can you have possibly done that requires THAT much penance?   :o

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

I think a PM would be the most discrete way of responding 😉🤣

I wasn't even thinking of doing that   ;D
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Hi Colin, could I order one of the Eagle Tempest sets and one of the 327's please ?

Thanks

Chris

Today I've been trying to get profiles finished for the Post-War Supermarine 327 Shrew release. Three decal options included. an F.3 of 615 Sqn, an FR.4 of 226 OCU and a PR.6 of 80 sqn. The PR.6 includes new clear resin parts for an underwing slipper tank on one side and a camera pod on the other (similar to early PR Spitfires), for long range flights from Hong Kong over China in the early 50s. Of course, you can make whatever you like, the new decals provide a full set of post-war bright roundels and three appropriate cancelled serials allocated to Spitfire airframes.

Thanks,
Colin

They do look very good, like a Supermarine 'Hornet' almost.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

I was thinking of a Tiger Force scheme to go with my Tiger Force Hornet

Eagle Tempest

Morning all,

So the accompanying photos show an Eagle-powered Tempest made using one of Colin's test shot and the KP kit.  It's a v nice conversion and makes a handsome model.

I'm now thinking of a SEAF one, and possibly one in a post-war pylon / Reno races colour scheme.  And not forgetting the foreign air forces who might have bought Eagle Tempests instead of the P/F-51...

That's one mean looking engine grafted on there!

And I love the idea of a Tempest Reno racer, it'd give those P&W engined Sea Furies a run for their money.  ;D
