I've been on some flights where the pax were DEFINITELY treated as freight!

Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

On trains, well on British railways anyway, freight is treated better than passengers.  When carrying freight trains brake more gently than when carrying passengers.  I presume this is because passengers can brace themselves.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Ah, yes! The famous "Euston Stop" (Also known as a Caley stop in Scotland)   This consisted of three brake applications.  The first to bring the passenger's luggage off the rack onto his/her head,  the second to jerk them out of their seat and the third to hurl them down the gangway/corridor  towards the door.

Absolutely.

It SHOULD have been a Fokker F-50, but it never showed, and when the next one arrived they boarded all the pax for that flight and left us all behind. For FOUR hours! Eventually an F-28 showed up and we left for Schiphol, but by that time my flight for Minneapolis had long gone! And then they refused to get me some overnight accommodation, in total violation of IATA rules, and I had to fend for myself.

Since then I've refused point blank to ever fly with that bunch of shysters ever again!  :banghead:

So which of the brake applications was/is designed to send your drink flying all over the place ?
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I think  that the drink spilling  brake  was the "rolling brake test"    not long after setting off.    Zenrat and Kit may know more about this.

Yes, quite often the result if they got it wrong. It's meant to apply a 10% brake load IIRC, but some drivers, or guards, seemed to treat that in a rather cavalier fashion.

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.
