Because you're a True Child of this site and fit in perfectly, that's why...  ;D

Having just recovered a Revell BAe-146 STA from the stash and marveled at how small it is in 1/144, I'm now wondering how to present it.

Will it be enough to build and paint the model in a cargo scheme and explain its logistic role in the backstory?
Or are we going to have to open the doors and show it has cargo inside?

Because I really don't want to be scratchbuilding a tiny ramp and a Rover 800 like this: https://www.flickr.com/photos/emdjt42/5407557197/
   ;)  ;D

COD on a carrier deck base?
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Mossie

Fairly straightforward conversion, add a hook and putty in some of the windows. Extend the nose wheel and fold the wings if you want to. Mount it on a pre-painted carrier base with a Brengun USN MD-3 tractor?

I consider making (plastic model 1/175 or drawing) a B-52 single-seater for mail transport of a few urgent letters (after huge truncation, the 1/175 source becoming 1/48 result). Would such a little-mail transport be accepted as logistics? (without tons nor even pounds of load but ounces)?

You could  use it for small urgent parcels, like when a modeller needs a few detail parts from overseas and is willing to pay extra for quick delivery... ;D
You could paint it in Hobby Link colours,forexample...
Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

Meaning these (and similar) are also unfortunately precluded.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

I'm slightly concerned...................I had in mind a late Victorian whiff for coaling battleships; but then I find that Temperley Ltd designed it in real life!  So I explored further, mules, oxen or elephants perhaps?  but the Indian Army in the 19th century beat me to it (read Kipling's "Her Majesty's servants" in the Jungle book......and Kipling's transatlantic mail dirigibles  are out too).       Where to go from here?  Perhaps an inter-war scenario in Iraq,  with a diorama of a transport command Axminster flying carpet landing at Habbanya   whilst a couple of hand knotted  Isfahan  two seater escort rugs circled overhead?  Or something based on Arthur C Clarke's "Space Elevator" (see his book The Fountains of Paradise  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Fountains_of_Paradise  )   Or shall I be boring and ordinary with aircraft 'picking up' gliders of supplies without actually landing...............yes, I know this was done in WW2  but perhaps an updated version..............

I've seen a couple of "Flying Carpet" wif builds at shows in the past  ;)

If you want to use animals then how about the British/Indian Army using especially imported Llama's, Alpacas etc for high altitude work in the Himalayas ?
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

YES!   People may well be subjected to a backstory concerning the Guards Guanaco detachments in Sikkim and Ladakh in the  Edwardian  Raj.
