I think it's a 1/25 MPC Transport Truck - a model truck AND a display case.  Also released in combination with the Ramchargers Front Engine Dragster kit.

Darn it, yes, that's definitely it, the one I remembered. I may still have the Ramchargers dragster somewhere too.

Definitely inspired by the original Deora, and works pretty well too.

That's must be where Tonka got it's range of trucks from. I had a blue truck and white metal trailer during the 1970s. The tractor unit had four chunky tires.
I used to use the trailer to store my Matchbox cars inside it.

Oh right best get started.
None of the parts are numbered but on the instructions they are, so it's a case of if it looks right then it should fit.
I have used a rattle can of Tamiya acrylic surface primer on the inside of the cabin and seat tub but I haven't included the engine as it can't be seen.
The trailer axle has been glued in place.
As for the the the roof and side panels of the trailer the blue plastic looks as though some kind of chemical reaction has taken place so I have used the clear plastic piece with the tailgate and front end being the blue plastic. This will be sprayed USAF Olive Green.
I will change the steering wheel and keep it left-hand drive and add some door handles.

Been studying other builder's photos and reading their comments. Not a straightforward process. I don't have any appointments next week until Friday, so I can get straight on with the builds tomorrow.

I've hit a whole host of ill-fitting parts. I have rattled canned Tamiya acrylic AS-14 Olive Green USAF as the base coat and to my amazement only had one run.
The front windscreen doesn't fit, the rear window does but the front windscreen of the trailer doesn't fit.  To plug the gaps I am using Microscale Micro Kristal Klear. This has worked really well on the rear window of the cab. I intend to use thin black matt strips of masking tape on the cab to cover the gaps. The blue tinted plastic means that you can't see any of the detailed parts through it.
The trailer top and base has a gap, I intend to use a thin piece of plastic card glued to the inside of the top half. If I mess this up I can still use the trailer base.

I've dry fitted the one I've got, the fit story sounds very similar.  Very much a kit of its age, not terrible fit but will need some serious persuading to go together well.

This is what the manufacturer had in mind when the kit is built,  however I'm making a few changes.



I'm using the blue tinted plastic windscreen and back window on the cab as it didn't come with the clear parts. It's a secondhand kit.
As you can see this modeller has experienced the same problems in that the parts don't fit,  hence the chrome around the cab glazing




This is what the underneath is supposed to look like. However I have removed the two hydraulic rams and I am going to move the trailer pin forward.
