Quote from: zenrat on October 29, 2022, 03:39:59 AMGood work so far Dave.  Any thoughts to some form of doors to reduce drag once the fighter has been jettisoned?

What about a big inflatable bag to fill the vacated space?

Lighter & simpler.

I was thinking about the filler doors like the GRB-36 had for the RF-84 FICON, but am leaning towards nothing.  The B-24 crew will just have a noisy, slow ride home, and some openings for air flow/pressure relief.

Interior work.  Weight in the nose.

Minor cut out in forward bulkhead

Scratched up a catwalk for pilot entry, bomb racks to support the P-80.

Doing it to it Dave
It's a bugger you couldn't convert the 24 to a single tail version..make it a faster aircraft and more stable in flight.
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

Work has recommenced after a long haitus due to life and the last GB.

Assembly started, black primer on.

in carry position.

Spine of P-80 cut and refitted with thin metal strip for mounting to the mother ship via magnets placed under the wing spar on the B-24, so I can play....I mean conduct important parasite release studies....

Play featu--or uh... "alternative display options" are the most fun to include.
If it doesn't trap on a boat or do... things related to boats, I probably won't like it.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

This picture intrigues me.

Puts me in mind of some kind of high manoeuvrability submarine vessel.

Or a Lib modified by The Anti-Kit...

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

What would Anti-Kit's tag line be? Possibly something like:

Any aircraft can be a source of aggravation to a certain Englishman by fitting shorter wing's...

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Absolutely! And I hope we'd ban him as soon as he showed up here!
