- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

There actually might be such a thing as "too much engine", In Real World.

But a stock Bearcat isn't it. People who have flown it report that it is quite nice to fly. Just fast and climbs well. A pilot report mentioned that it cruises faster than a P-51. When traveling with P-51s, a Bearcat pilot might have to keep the cruising speed down a bit - or the Mustang guys would have to request: "Gimme a couple of inches" (of manifold pressure).

Put an even bigger engine in the Bearcat, shorten the wings a bit, and install a lower canopy, and the beast might become a Beast.

I believe so, but Chris (Narses2) probably will for sure, the BPF is his 'specialist subject'.  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

I came across such a Hellcat only as a profile - I assume that it's painted FS 35164 (USN Intermediate Blue) overall, and it had minimal markings, with very small roundels, too. Looks pretty attractive!

Dizzy's research beat me to it  ;D
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
