And after 18 months it's back.   :o

On the camper body I've just removed all the stretched sprue railings, shaved off all the superglue residue, redrilled all the wire holes, reattached all the posts I snapped off doing that and then strung elastic rigging thread as railings.
Paint repair is under way and i'm looking at building up a couple of figures to stand on the roof as security.
This has been sitting on a table in my shed uncovered and so has developed a nice light dust layer - a technique I call slow weathering...

The other track on the tank part had let go when I got it out of the display case so both are now glued firmly in place.  Shame, as it was fun running this up and down the floor.

Finally finished.  Whats that, two years late?

T-72 Perevozchik.

T-72 Perevozchik - 8 by Fred Maillardet, on Flickr

Developed from the T-72 battle tank the Perevozchik (Transporter) was an unarmoured tracked prime mover intended for logistics operations in the rear echelon.

In addition to the usual military logistics loads Perevozchks transported the mobile Dachas which accommodated senior generals when they were required close to the front (but not THAT close).

The Dacha shown is that of Field Marshal General Fedor Fedoravich.  After a hard days Generalling he liked to relax in a hot tub with a ripe brie, chilled vodka, and a young factory girl (or was it a chilled brie, a young vodka, and a ripe factory girl?).

The Model.
Kitech 1/48 T-72
AMT allegedly 1/25 camper body (it is more like 1/50 and thus works nicely as 1/48.
Liquid transport module built from a plastic pill bottle and fresh scratch.
Field Marshal General Fedorovich is a resin figure.  I forget from where.
Hot tub is the childproof cap from a painkiller bottle.  The (murky) looking water is 5 minute epoxy.
The wood effect on the decking and the walkway sheeting on the roof are all painted by hand.
Rooftop guard is a Tamiya figure.

And much to my surprise the hinged access ladder still hinges...

Probably ALL of the above!  ;D

What a CRACKING build Fred, even if it has been  ages. It's obviously matured in that time.  ;D

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

It was worth the wait!  The hot tub could also act as a small vodka container for the General.

Thanks folks.  It's good to finally get it into a display case.
