Merci... this could be interesting to have someone making a TW Javelin from scratch (or starting from a Javelin model). I dream about a row of two-engines heavy fighters including
- Gloster TW Javelin
- Fairey Delta III
- Avro Canada CF-105
- Dassault Mirage IVC
- Mc Donnell Phantom
- Grumman F-12F Lion
- Tupolev Tu-128
- Sukhoi Su-15
How impressive it would be...
King Arthur: Can we come up and have a look?
French Soldier: Of course not. You're English types.
King Arthur: What are you then?
French Soldier: I'm French. Why do you think I have this outrageous accent, you silly king?

Well regardless I would rather take my chance out there on the ocean, that to stay here and die on this poo-hole island spending the rest of my life talking to a gosh darn VOLLEYBALL.

How about adding a Mikoyan Ye-152 into that lineup?

Good idea... this is more twin-jet heavy fighters, but after all the Ye-151 had twin engines...
I like the idea of a Crusader III Vs Ye-152.. fantastic fighters!

What about the XF-108 Rapier ?

Archibald

oops.. forget it! Ok for the F-108, that's a good idea (and the YF-12 arrived too)

My list stop at the beginning of the 60's...

In which case you should include the rival designs to NAA's F-108, Lockheed's CL-280/320 series and Northrop's N-126.

Pre-WW-II could the P-26 have done anything as a trainer, hack, or the like?

How about some Whirraway's?

how about RAF/RN getting all the phantoms projected. so replacing lightning and vixen

but also being able to do some more specialised jobs

Percision strike with Paveway, Maverick, walleye or Martel TV
SEAD               with Shrike, standard, martel or alarm

If the same idea is used as the US Army, if we can't get it to work give it to the British. Then there's a lot of aircraft that could have entered service with the RAF, RN and FAA.
The Tradewind had problems with its engines and yet the RR Tynes were offered as an alternative but never used. Surely Shorts or one of the other British flying boat companies at the time could have sorted out the problems. Same could be said of the Seamaster and variants built under licence.
The Yak-141 built with the aid of BAe and Northrop.

I like the Phantom idea, and I really like the Tradewind idea Steven !

I'll have to look into 1/144 scale models of the RR Tyne engines as the 1/72 kits are very pricey.
Might get away with the Revell 1/72 Blohm & Voss BV222 seaplane and add four RR Tynes to that instead.

RAF getting the DHC4 Caribou in time for Borneo confrontation

how about the

EC145/UH72 or the AW139 as the Lynx/Gazelle replacement for the Army Air Corps. With the navy getting more merlins with an Air to surface capability.
