I've found another Revell 1/200 Boeing 2707 SST in the stash along with a pair of battered 1/144 Airfix/Revell BAC Concorde engine parts.
I was surprised to find that a aircraft company called Boom has some concept artwork which is very similar to what I am building except mine is a super sonic cargo aircraft and theirs is a 80 seater passenger airliner.
I have also found the 1/144 Airfix/Revell decals for the British Airways Concorde which I intend to use, I will only paint the engines as I have tried to remove the seal from the two fuselage halves which doesn't seem to want to budge and the plastic is a bit fragile. I will find a some wheels for the build.

BAC also had the idea of a larger Concorde with swing-wings but decided to go down the freighter route as the noise debation society had put restrictions on a passenger variant. However Boeing was building something very similar which was gaining interest as a long-range bomber.
The two companies merged to work on the Mystic using the Rolls-Royce engines developed for Concorde.
Qantas,  Singapore Airlines and Cathy Pacific all placed orders for a combo Mystic whilst  British Airways and Pan Am would be the launch customers. A total of 30 Mystics would be built for commercial usage whilst the USAF would purchase 50  B-7 renamed  the Mystery bombers and  Britain 21. Australia, Canada and India would buy secondhand examples from the Royal Air Force to justify the cost.

I don't think the USAF would call their bombers Mystic as that was a reporting name for a Soviet aircraft.

To lower the tone somewhat, a shunter at Carlisle Kingmoor yard was universally known as "The Mystic".   He regularly misplaced his shunter's pole and was heard disconsolately muttering  "Where's me stick"

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

I am suitably grateful, although all I was doing was reporting fact......................................at the risk of "The Book"   another supervisor was known as The Balloon,  as he kept using the phrase "Don't let me down, lads"

A mixture of decals, I need to get a fixing agent for the decals as they keep coming off.
