Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

And you're shocked by a mere 93 Bf-109's? ;D  ;)

I look at collections of semi-finished models like that and just hope that the Marketing Manager of whichever brand of primer Tom uses doesn't base next year's forecast on that lot  ;)

Primer, what's that? :)

Lot of putty though......

I took a break from the 109s this week.

Instead I did the basic construction of the Supermarine Pirate and the Vought Hellion:

I'm assuming the Pirate is the top plane & the Hellion is the lower.

In which case the Pirate would be a touch "floaty" on landing & the Hellion would have exceptional manoeuvrability but a massive wing loading. ;D

They are looking very good, though!

I really do like the look of the top aircraft (the Pirate  ?)

I've done some work on the 109s today.

Score as of this night:

To start: 10
In basic construction: 9
Basic construction done: 52
Ready for painting: 0
Ready for decals: 0
Completely finished: 26
Total: 97

I'm planning to have all of them ready for paint when I can start airbrushing again. That will be around April/May.

Now that does look rather tasty - https://www.springbank.scot/whisky/longrow/

I'm halfway through a bottle of Laphroaig which is tasty but a bit overpowering with the smoke.

I actually quit whiskey altogether after my gut surgery. My taste changed quite substantially and I just didn't like it any more. After the second surgery, the one where they took out a sizeable chunk of my liver, I almost gave up on alcohol as a whole, nowadays only having the odd quite cold lager when having physically toiled on a warm day, or, on special occasions, a rather smallish drop of better dark rum. The current rum bottle is, however, likely to outlast me.
