If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

At least the kit is also available through a lot of re-boxings, including Italeri and Revell. I am just not certain if the molds have been updated since the original release in the Eighties?

I might be totally off here (as usual) but i THINK that only one or two of the Esci boxings contain the RF-5A nose. I know for sure that all ESCI boxings doesn't

That could be correct. I am not aware of the camera nose in any Revell re-boxing I have seen. I think it was only contained in an Italeri re-release, too.

Looking at sprue diagrams, it looks as if the recce nose is on it's own sub-sprue, and that's missing in all but two of the Esci reboxings, and neither the Italeri. nor the Revell ones seem to have it either. Well - as usual, I suspect the only way to know is to acquire one kit from each reboxing..  ;)

The Wooksta!

Picked up a pair of Posca paint pens to create my own Air Min decals.

Don't know if writing direct onto the model would work.

It might on a matt surface, doubt very much if it would on a glossy one. Although I've been wrong before.

I did the ones on the Bv 148 as decals, with roughly shaped Dark patches Green matched to the RAF's camo colour on white decal paper, so the lettering showed through. They're OK, but I'm not sure I'd do it that way again.

The only time I've done them before was on my 'Captured GB' Dw 520, and I did that with the 'camo coloured decal on white' method as well, plus trimming the edges with Fred's system.

The Wooksta!

Snaffled some black stripe decals from eBay.  Need them for the St Andrew's cross on several things.

Not my kit stash, but rather my paint cache. Whilst daubing on some paint the other day I realised that I was short of basic colours, red, blue etc, whilst I had "specialist" shades coming out of my ear'oles   As I've explained before I've no model shop less than and hour or so away and Hobbycraft only stock Revell, who's paints I don't like  to put it mildly. It's those square pots that puts me off  . Anyway I noticed that Hataka do a basic colours set in their Blue range and after talking with Kit ordered some from Models For Sale. Brilliant service, ordered Wednesday afternoon, arrived Friday

Glad to be of help Chris, they're a great bunch there, and I think there's only 3-4 of them. They inhabit a pretty large SHED in the middle of a small industrial estate in Raunds, not far from where the Kitmaster factory was, and they have some original Kitmaster kits on a shelf above their desk.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.
