Quote from: NARSES2 on November 24, 2023, 06:00:04 AMIsadora's face looks particularly well cast if the illustration on the box top is anything to go by

They're 3D mastered (& probably 3D printed in resin) & the details are excellent, same as the other 5 or 6 of these figures that I have.

They look "soft" but that's just the glossy surface of the parts, once painted they should be really nice!

A lot of support artifacts to be removed, though.

Looking at what has come in the last two deliveries, as well as the above;

The ICM 1/72 Ki-21-1b(Ib?) "Sally" (#72203) looks to be very nicely detailed & free of even a hint of flash - I hope the build is as nice as the kit looks, when I get around to building it (RW).
The ICM 1/35 Unimog S.404 German Military Truck (it comes in several different boxings) is much the same as the "Sally" - I have resin detail parts for this but it will be whiffed as either Aus Army or RAM's.
The Hobby Boss 1/48 F-105D Thunderchief has been around for a little while now but, again, looks very good in the box - Should look good in Aus Army Aviation Corps markings.
The new Airfix 1/48 HAS.1/HAS.5/HU.5 Westland Sea King looks brilliant in the box, no two ways about it - I think this is going to be an excellent addition to my 1/48 scale virtual RAN FAA Museum, as a RAN Mk.50/51.

Maybe I'm just easily pleased but I've been very lucky with my purchases over the last 12 months, as almost everything looks very good in the box & the few that I have worked on have been in the same ball park construction-wise.
Has a life outside of What-If & wishes it would stop interfering!

Bought something quite old and probably not the best of kits, but I am not bothered. Spinners inspired me to do an F-84f in RAF service, and whilst looking for kits, I saw this one on ebay, and got it for a fiver. It has raised panel lines but they can be sanded down easily enough, and no doubt some fit issues, but it will be reet.

Must admit I do like the look of that "Sally. Sorely tempted. As for the Sea King. There was a full build in a recent SAM, looks very, very nice.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I've built a couple of those Italeri 'streaks, and the 'flashes too, and they don't fit too badly. But the panel lines take some sanding, that's for sure.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Cheers Kit, I will probably attack the panel lines the same way I did the rivets on my Frog Shackleton parts, and use a very sharp chisel on them then sand them down. As long as you take your time and be careful, it makes the job a lot easier.

Delivered today from Metro Hobbies.  I needed something to ride shotgun with a couple of Mrs z's xmas gifts and there was a sale...

First thoughts on grokking the sprues is that it is less detailed than the Roden kit but has build options and the moulding is crisper.
This might become an armoured hot rod...

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.
