Until I saw this I wasn't even aware Airfix did a B.II  :banghead:  Thanks for updating me  ;D
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

No problemo!

I'll probably be putting Wright R-2600's on mine, rather than the Hercules, as an Australian-built version for long-range Asia-Pacific operations; the Wright engines rectifying the Hercules' (unexpected) lack of power at altitude. ;D

Quote from: Rick Lowe on February 09, 2023, 07:59:20 PMFound a local supermarket had some of their Lego Farm kits on sale, cheap... like $2-3 a pop... well, it was a good excuse to get some wheels. And other bits as well.
So a Farm Truck, Trailer, a couple of Milk Tankers (8 wheels each, those...) and a few Comboine Aarvesters followed me home.

Assembling them - to check for fit, and Quality Control purposes, of course! - it came to me that the clear windscreens could be repurposed for scratchbuilds - my CV-10 in particular.
The parts, while being c. 2mm thick, are nice and clear and therefore sturdy enough to cope with manipulation/mutilation, as well as being plenty big enough to provide lots of material for what I need.

Onwards!
May be worth joining Bricklink, as  you can get individual parts for sometimes coppers or less.

True, that would be another option.
Or the local Lego store, if there's one in your area.
Or make a connection with the local club... bits that no longer clip together securely, or are a little worn, can be had too - a good source of plain bricks for mould walls...

I stopped using Lego for moulds some years back as the rubber was seeping through the gaps. Plastic card is my go to now as it's better for sizing better.

Good idea, Jon,  but accessing appropriate cowlings & engines for an R-2800 conversion is more difficult in 1/72 than for a Wright R-2600 version. :-\

I can get a pair of Airfix B-25's or Special Hobby A-20's much more easily than I can get something like a B-26 or A-26.

True, and as you say, cleaning up the little bits that seep through can be a pain.

Pavla do/did resin R-2800s with cowlings for B-26s and/or Tigercats.

'S all good!

I've got the following en route:

1 x Quinta Studio 1/48 Grumman A-6E TRAM Intruder Coloured Interior Decals for HobbyBoss kit (Q-QD48166)
2 x Airfix 1/72 North American B-25C/D Mitchell (AX06015)

Expect to see a pair of Bristol Hercules powered B-25C's in the future or, maybe, Merlin powered. ;)

By the way, the R-2600's give about a 200hp advantage over the Merlin XX's of the Lancaster B.I/B.III & about 350hp over the Hercules VI/XVI powered B.II's.

INTERIOR decals?  :o

Ah, but it's 1/48 scale of course.

Yep, 1/48, & there's a lot of glazing over the cockpit of an A-6, so I thought I'd try out these new-fangled 3D decals on this, soon ... ish. ;)

Not sure if you're aware but Quinta also do 1/72 cockpit interior decals for several models.

Glad to be of assistance!

I also want to try those 3D decals, they look really good. Quinta's seem to be of very good quality but they're expensive. There's also Red Fox, another brand of which i can't remember the name at the moment, and Eduard space sets, all 3D decals cockpit sets. Thinking of ordering one for a Kinetic 1/48 F-16 i wanna build when i finish my current builds.
