No, i keep the spinner fixed for aerodynamic shape , but want to ad some bombs under the wings or extra machineguns in a box ( from a german fighter of that time )   .  Unfortunately i have no big guns in spare ...

Got a lot of putty on , and sanded first step ,  pix will follow .

Nice.  I think a tail skid would great, much like some early biplanes.  The Soviets often operated from grass runways.

Here it is, ready for paint !!
At all i have no fun to paint jobs , construction is my thing .
Instead of that i give them only the basic color and start the next project , camo will follow later , so i can spray some birds at the same time .You cannot view this attachment. You cannot view this attachment. You cannot view this attachment. You cannot view this attachment.

100% with you there, anything that I have painted can attest to that! ;D

That shape works REMARKABLY well!

You've got an eye for such things, that's for sure.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

This doesn't look wrong..that's the thing..this is what would have happened if it was built..superb stuff.
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

Thank you very much !
After the last desaster with my paint job on the FW 190 I keep that better safe and give her a basic grey over all  and time to dry... but the next project is nearly complete together . I am in speed mode now , the modifications on a special Me 262 , started Sunday evening ( yesterday )  needed only 2-3 hours , stay tuned, pix will follow  ...  :drink:  :drink:

Certainly is!

That large chin radiator makes a perfect jet intake, I reckon it will fool a few people too, they'll be like "so you built it with a spinning prop, what's the big deal?" Until they see the underside. ;D

On a semi-related topic I've only rather recently discovered that the P-40 is one of those planes that I thought I had never really liked, turns out that my brain was hiding the truth from me all along and I actually do like them, a lot.

Thank you very much!

Just think about Spielbergs  movie ,,1941" and the P40 , it is a bit vintage  and old school looking but also fast and aggressive aeroplane , and the deep air intake at the front , mmmmhh, nice . I like the appeal from the 30's style in the design .  And the special hobby kit that i have used is absolut amazing and i think the best made ( and fit ) modell kit I have ever seen .
