More design work for the hangar is going on.

As the hangar deck will also contain the force field generators, some more space is needed in the upper part of it. So the hangar walls need to lean inside a bit.

The yellow parts are the force field generators.

Printing the floor and lower walls

All printed part put together and stored the little space craft inside. But i have a bad feeling about it....

BAD feelings? Why so, it looks MAGNIFICENT:thumbsup:

The new years starts with not so good news: The little space craft does not fit into the hangar. The wings will crash into the hangar control cabin:

So there are two options: Modifying the hangar or modifying the little space craft. My engieneer is checking the model for the best options.

So I think, its better to modify the space craft. So far, I thought about two options:

Option 1: Add smaller wings on a different position

Option 2: Make the wings "movable" and move them into a "hangar storage" position

I guess I will go for option 2

In the meantime, the outer wall of the hangar is printed

'Add SMALLER wings'?  :o

I should think not, Option 2 is much better.

Your mileage may vary.

I think shortening the upper fins where they are would look pretty cool.

Alternatively, moving them inside of the engines & more vertcal could look pretty good, too.

 ;)  ;D

PS: Moving the upper fins inside of the engines & more vertical also gives you the possibility of making them longer, which should make Kit very happy. ;)  ;D

The hangar deck will contain the force field generators. Here are all the components directly form the printer.

I have chosen option 2 for the little space craft. A first test print looks ok.

So this is the final print. Because of the transparent resin, details are a bit hard to spot right now

And finally, assembly of the second crew deck continues.

All cabins are done now

The second crew deck - Deck 8 - is now completed. Cabins for 16 more Rebans are there, and they have their spa to relax.

The next deck will be the hangar deck (Deck 6).
